State Public Housing

The Reading Housing Authority was established in 1963 and has been developing and operating housing for low-income elderly/handicapped persons, families, and people with special needs throughout the Town of Reading.

Currently, the Authority owns and manages the following units:

  • 80 units of State Elderly/Handicapped Housing at Frank D. Tanner Drive
  • 10 units of State Family Housing; 6 units at Waverly Oaks and 4 units at Parker Place

All Reading Housing Authority State properties are Smoke-Free properties.
